# Millionaur Daily Analysis — 1 October 2026: Micron’s Capacity Timeline

**Micron gave investors a capacity date. It did not give us an end date for the memory shortage.**

In its September 30 results, Micron reported $54.23 billion of fiscal fourth-quarter revenue and an 87.0% adjusted gross margin. For the next quarter, it guided to $61.5 billion of revenue, plus or minus $1.5 billion. Those are strong reported results and company guidance, respectively.

The more useful distinction is in Micron’s prepared remarks: it expects much of its added construction spending to bring cleanroom space online in late 2028 and beyond. It also said it has no clear view of when memory supply will catch up with demand. A factory milestone is not a forecast that prices or margins stay high until then. Equipment has to be installed, qualified and ramped; demand can change first.

At the Millionaur portfolio snapshot taken on October 1 at 16:32 Bucharest (09:32 New York), direct holdings in Micron, Samsung and SK hynix plus the DRAM memory ETF were about 6.75% of portfolio NAV. That is a minimum: other ETFs also hold memory companies, and their complete current look-through needs updating. Cash was about 13.25% of NAV. These are snapshot weights, not later live prices.

I am weighing any further memory exposure against that overlap, the large spending cycle and tomorrow’s U.S. jobs report. A small add discussed before the results remains a choice for the account owner; it is not an executed trade in this update. I would watch contract pricing, customer commitments and whether new supply arrives earlier than planned. Those are the tests of the thesis.
